Justice Alito Attends BADC Judicial Reception

Over 300 people, including Justice Samuel Alito, attended BADC’s 2007 Judicial Reception on October 1, 2007. Held in the new Courthouse Annex of the U.S. District Court, the evening featured a tribute to the late Judge John Garrett Penn. Remarks were made by the night’s host, Chief Judge Hogan, and former Chief Judge of the Superior Court Ugast while lawyer Kim Keenan spoke on behalf of Judge Penn’s law clerks. Judge Penn’s wife and daughter were present for the tribute. The Reception is held annually to honor incoming judges and judges retiring/taking senior status on all courts in Washington. This year’s honorees were:
